Our logo combines a horse and long ears (donkeys and mules) because that's what we have. Funny though, visitors and volunteers never SEE the donkey at first. There's always that "OHHHHH" moment when they realize that there's a donkey in there too. LOL
Volunteers are from 3 years old to 83 years old. Some have horse experience, most do not. But learning happens! Everyone works together and tackles what they are able to do and somehow, it gets done. SFES does not require specific schedules nor experience.
Flash healed with treatment and lots of love. He was adopted by Rebecca who loved him more than can be imagined. He deserved that!!!! Your donations help provide medical care, feed and hay for horses who have not had much of a chance in life.
Dream and her son Wishes were both headed to slaughter. A kind girl saw them and couldn't let that happen. Wishes was only 2 months old. His mother, a registered Ponies of America Breed Mare had ever been trained. She was trained and adopted and has her own teenager now. Wishes is still with us waiting to grow a bit more before his training. He is a bit of an imp but loved by all.
It's important to note that we are not a rescue and do not focus on adoption. If a match happens, that's wonderful but the majority of horses here are not available for adoption.
